Dassault Aviation just unleashed its newest development in its popular Falcon family, the Falcon 10x, marking the company’s most ambitious play in the ultra long range category. The 10x also represents the manufacturer’s largest aircraft to date, coming in at $75 million and directly competing with the Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 7500.
In a recent press interview, Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier believes that the 10x represents best in class private jet travel and will set a new standard for years to come.
Dassault Falcon 10x: Inside and Out
Raising the bar in luxury private aviation isn’t a feat to take lightly, but Dassault has every reason to believe they’ve created something special. The Falcon 10x features an impressive range of 7,500 nautical miles with the capability of a 15-hour non-stop flight. The aircraft stands to connect cities like Tokyo and Paris or Santiago and London without batting an eye. Its Mach speed of 0.925 rivals that of the G700 and Global 7500.
Its power stems partly from two Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X turbofan engines, catering to an increased consumer demand for sustainable propulsion.
Another visual difference is the shift away from its classic cruciform design in favor of a more symmetrical T-tail look.
Inside the 10x, you’ll find an impressive natural light-filled cabin, the largest and most comfortable of its kind. A ceiling height of 6’ 8” offers comfortable walkability while a width of over 9 feet makes it the widest cabin in its class. Windows are 50% larger compared to the Falcon 8 and contribute to the brightest cabin in private aviation.
Creating Envy in the Skies
Given its power and capabilities to perform long distance flights, the Falcon 10x will likely come with all the comforts and onboard amenities a passenger can expect. The new model is slated to enter service sometime in 2025.
